OVTI Off 7%: FYQ4 Rev Beats; Q1 EPS View Light

Camera sensor maker OmniVision Technologies (OVTI) this afternoon reported fiscal Q4 revenue that topped analysts’ expectations, missed on the bottom line, and forecast this quarter’s revenue above consensus while projecting profit below estimates.

Revenue in the three months ended in April fell 15%, year over year, to $218.5 million, yielding EPS of 20 cents, excluding some costs.

Analysts had been modeling $204.8 million and 22 cents, according to FactSet.

For the�current quarter, the company sees revenue in a range of $235 million to $255 million, and earnings per share, excluding some costs, of 16 cents to 27 cents.

Analysts had been modeling $219 million and 28 cents.
