Today, on Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT ) blog, the company announced the release of version 3.0 of its SkyDrive file-hosting app for Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL ) iOS. The company said that although there are great ways to use SkyDrive on Windows devices, Microsoft is updating the app so that users "have a great experience across all the devices you want to use."
Updates to the latest version of the app include support for the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, the ability to download full resolution photos to the iPhone and iPad, and improved SkyDrive file sharing from other iOS apps.
The company said that with the release of Windows 8 and Windows RT last year, more people are using SkyDrive for their files and that Microsoft aims to "make SkyDrive the place for all your documents, notes, photos, videos, and other files."
