Novatel Wireless (NVTL) this afternoon posted Q3 revenue of $75.6 million, shy of the Street consensus of $77.5 million. The company reported a non-GAAP loss for the quarter of 14 cents, narrower than the Street’s projection of 19 cents.
For Q4, the provider of WiFi access products, including the MiFi wireless hots spot, sees revenue of $110 million to $115 million, with a non-GAAP profit of 2-5 cents a share, nicely ahead of the old consensus view of $89.7 million and a loss of 6 cents. (Giving the company a boost: the recent news that Verizon Wireless will sell the 3G-only version of the Apple (AAPL) iPad bundled with a MiFi.)
NVTL in late trading is up 5 cents, at $10.87.
